How does the algorithm work?
This TradingView algorithm uses a trend following system by analyzing multiple time frames and executing only the highest probability setups that trade WITH momentum. It uses an optimized profit taking system to first reduce risk and then allow winning trades to run as long as the market is still trending in its direction. This combination produces extremely high win rates and minimal drawdown.
Who is the algorithm for?
This algorithm is tailored for trading options on the SPY ETF. It will ONLY execute during regular market hours 9:30 - 4:00 EST, and focuses on finding setups in the first two hours of the day with an average hold time of around 70 minutes. The Strategy Tester tab provides you realtime win-rate and profit factor data as it executes trades averaged over the last 60 trading days, along with many other performance statistics.
What does the algorithm look like on my charts?
The algorithm will provide entry signals, partial profit targets, full position exits, and stop losses with the exact number of contracts displayed at each signal. In this example it signaled a long position of 10 contracts, Take-Profit 1 of 3 contracts, Take Profit 2 of 3 contracts, and a full position 'Exit Long' of the remaining 4 contracts.
